Shadowstep
Instantly Appearing infront of a foe is kinda unreal imo
Hex : For 3 seconds this hex does nothing when it ends you move to target foe

Mursaat, Fire Imps, Jotun, and Margonites are realistic though? I assume you mean this to change ALL shadowsteps? No thanks. Shadowsteps aren't broken in this regard. It is the positioning element about them that is broken, and changing the time frame of it won't fix much, if anything.

Yes, I find humans to be very realistic. Not sure why, but I do.... maybe its because I'm human?

So instead of immediately teleporting to target foe, it's more realistic if there's a 3 second time difference before immediately teleporting to target foe?
I... don't understand how that's in any way more "realistic." Unless by "move to target foe" you mean the AI automatically makes your character walk at normal pace to the foe in which case... what?

they may have been at one point but i no longer see the problem becuase of the after cast involved with shadow stepping. After cast makes this COMPLETELY balanced with no need for a change.....

eh... well.. i can see it being balanced on other *NON* assassin primary professions, but, it completely destroys the "HEY, SURPRISE!" factor 'sins are supposed to have. :\

This is a fantasy game.
It's sort of like saying "Why is there a three headed dog in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone? That doesn't seem very realistic."
Response: "Did you not notice the wizards?"
The hex idea is interesting, however, so long as if a Monk removed the hex you still achieve the shadow step. It would give people "warning" of impending doom anyway. That's not to say I'm in favour so I'm slapping down a /notsigned on this idea.

Ur right shadowsteps are f'd up, because now they are pretty shocking. Imo, remove aftercast and add the Wastrels Collapse Clause (All non daggger attacks recharge).

What we sit around thinking of things that need nerfed? think of a counter for it that can be beefed instead of dumbing everything down. Anet does plenty good in that department without your help.
The only viable idea to this is making it like a hex so if removed, the shadow stepper was returned to original location.

Whats with the recent love affair with shadow steps?

1. Irrelevant reason.
2. Not needed.
3. Does not solve "problem".

The point of assassins is moving quickly behind enemy lines, kill as fast as possible, and leave as soon as they can. For that, they need a fast and unavoidable way to pass through body blocks.
That's shadowstep. It doesn't matter if you don't like it. I don't like those stupid mesmer interruptions, but I deal with them instead coming here to say something senseless like "change interruptions to an hex that activates after 3 seconds, so you can be warned that you are going to be interrupted".

Hexing someone and instantly moving to them is unrealistic.
Shooting fireballs from a staff is unrealistic.
Going to the underworld to help the God of death is unrealistic.
Fighting undead is unrealistic.
Wearing rings that give you special abilities is unrealistic.
Guild Wars is unrealistic.
Shadow stepping does not need to be realistic, and it certainly doesn't need to be changed to this.

Mistaken.
Skills are skill rings. ANet hasn't really done anything to make that clear since Prophecies since it really doesn't matter. Some skills back in prophecies mentioned it, but the descriptions have been changed.
